The process of creating something beautiful is not purely a rational or logical approach,
but also one that requires an intuitive understanding and reaction to one’s surroundings.
A building cannot be rationalised by resolving the tectonic form, the functionality,
materiality as components – an integral approach that begins with sculpting the
experience of the place as an embodiment of one’s own perceptions and feelings brings
a place to life.
As architects, how do we engage with this notion of beauty that is so subjective and more
importantly, is something that changes and evolves with time?
